WE ARE COMMITTED to helping customers take charge of their power bills.

FMPA members and their customers saved nearly 4 million kilowatt-hours during fiscal 2010, enough energy to power approximately 4,000 average-size households for a month. The savings were generated by rebates, give-a-ways and educational materials. Together, these programs will save nearly 7 million kilowatt-hours annually, or 53 million kilowatt-hours over the life of the products purchased or actions taken.

Conservation Fund

FMPA’s members created a fund to pay for programs that educate and encourage customers to conserve electricity. Through the first quarter of fiscal 2011, more than $1.4 million has been provided to support local conservation programs.

Conservation Videos

FMPA's members produced a series of brief educational videos showing customers how to conserve electricity and save money on their utility bills. The clips provide quick tips and how-to demonstrations on 15 energy efficiency topics. View the videos online now.

Conservation Programs

The conservation fund complements existing conservation programs, including:

  • Energy Depot: This online home energy audit program enables customers to enter specific information on their homes and receive a report with specific measures they can implement to reduce energy consumption.
  • Energy Star: FMPA and its members are ENERGY STAR partners, which allows FMPA to distribute a variety of free energy conservation resources to its members.
